Kitty and Vibe is at a pivotal point where we are going from one full-time employee, to building a founding team. As a white leader, I've been using this past week to ruthlessly dissect & reflect my own privilege through absorption of the Black community’s voices & experiences. I'm listening to internalize, and thinking to plan how Kitty and Vibe will establish a workplace that ensures this monumental shift transcends not only this week or month, but rather, it becomes rooted in the foundation of this company now, and forever.
As a first step, I'm proactively becoming a Time for Action Partner, which means I pledge to myself and my future employees to provide paid time off to engage in activism.
